Good that first three episodes of “House of the Dragon”prequel to “Game of Thrones”, were shocking and highly commented, without a doubt, the fourth chapter takes the top spot, so far, due to an outrageous streak featuring Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock) Oui Demon Targaryens (Matt Smith).
Since the premiere of HBO Max series viewers noticed the sexual tension that exists between uncle and niece, which reached another level in ‘The King of the Straits’ (1×04). In this episode, the hitherto heiress to the iron throne and the king’s ambitious brother reunite after several years and follow an old Targaryen custom.
After discussing the virtues and flaws of arranged marriages, Rhaenyra returns to her chambers and discovers her uncle’s special invitation, without hesitation Viserys’ daughter slips away in the dark and with Daemon walks the streets of King’s Landing .
After visiting a few bars, Daemon and Rhaenyra enter a brothel, where they are carried away by passion. However, before they get to the end, the king’s brother stops and leaves his niece, who returns to the palace and seduces Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel).
In an interview with the New York Post, Milly Alcock told the secrets behind the commented scene of the fourth chapter of “ Dragon House”. The 22-year-old Australian actress pointed out that while filming said sequence with Matt Smith all was ” quite comfortable”.
« It wasn’t embarrassing, oddly enough. [Matt Smith y yo] we were just friends. It was quite comfortable. We had an intimacy coordinator and worked with her through the rehearsal process and locked her down months before.“, He shared.
He also added that “Clare Kilner, our director, made sure we didn’t see anything of the brothel before filming. It was the first time we walked through the brothel, when he led her across the room with all those other bodies around. It was quite shocking. There were extras we had just met practicing 69 for 12 hours. It’s quite twisted. We felt overdressed because everyone was naked”.
Milly Alcock also indicated that his character in ” Dragon House” “he’s at an age where he can’t tell the difference between platonic love, romantic love, and lust, because he hasn’t lived long enough and hasn’t had those experiences. I think she understands there’s a feeling here [con Daemon]but does not know exactly where it lands, nor how to behave with it and find its way around”.
Regarding what happened with Criston, he assured that “I fought with [sus sentimientos por Criston] all the time on the show. I think she wants to be seen, and ultimately Daemon and Cristan Cole are the only two people who really see her. They both see her for different reasons. Daemon has the upper hand, and Rhaenyra has the upper hand with Cole, and that turns her on a little.”.
