Why ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Sperm Bank Scene Sparked Controversy Years Later

From what Chuck Lorre said, the decision to cut the sperm bank scene was because felt out of place with the rest of the series.

« The scene was so bad. In my mind, the show really started with those awkward handshakes between Penny, Sheldon and Leonard when she unpacks boxes in her apartmentsaid the creator of comedies like “Two and a Half Men” and “Mike & Molly.”

For his part, Jim Parsons admitted that the scene did not catch his attention at first, but that, in retrospect, it wasn’t something sheldon would do.

What many do not know is that The original pilot for ‘The Big Bang Theory’ was very different from what aired on CBS. In the first version, there was no Penny, Howard et Raj. In her place were Katie (Amanda Walsh) and Gilda (Iris Bahr).
