Gran Turismo is just the latest video game adaptation to get Greenlit

Perhaps it was the recent success of video game movies that got the Grand Touring film to finally turn its wheels. There have been efforts in the past to make a movie, at one point with Top Gun : Maverick director Joseph Kosinski attached, but the film never made it out of development hell. With a solid cast in place and a date on the board, it now looks good for the Grand Touring movie, especially with reports that we are a week away from production.

Grand Touring is slated for a theatrical release by Sony on August 11, 2023. Filming will begin this month in Europe.
