Good that dunes had its first film adaptation in 1984 under the direction of David Lynch, it took until 2021 for this universe to begin its expansion in a big way. In this sense, it has been confirmed that a British actress who participated in The iron Thrones is set to join the franchise with a new product from the streaming platform. It is Dune: brotherhoodthe series which will function as a prequel and which will be inspired by the novel Brotherhood of Dunewritten by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson which was published in 2012. But… Who is this mysterious addition?

It is Indira Verma, who participated in the HBO Max series as Ellaria Sand. That’s not all! He was recently part of the cast of Obi Wan Kenobi, fiction from the Star Wars universe available on Disney+, personifying Tala. Although the new Dune prequel was announced in 2019, its production had been suspended, until October of this year it was announced that they had found their protagonists.

Likewise, Diane Ademu John serves as the series’ creator, writer, co-producer and executive producer, while Alison Schapker is the producer of the prequel. The release date is still unknown, although everything indicates that it will arrive after Dune: part two to theatres.
