On day two of Expo D23 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, during the Lucasfilm & Marvel Studios Presentation, the studio founded by George Lucas has made some big announcements for fans in a galaxy far, far away. To launch the star wars the celebration of all things Disney fandom was the finale Andor trailer, one episode of 12 star wars series that will arrive on Disney+ in 11 days on September 21, 2022.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said the goal of the Andor the series will be what happened in the five years leading up to 2016 Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and that will give a recap of what the Rebellion faced with the Empire. According to the official description:
The Andor The series will explore a new perspective on the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series tells the story of the budding rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It is a time filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to transform him into a rebel hero.
Therefore, the series is also about the awakening of the revolutionary Cassian Andor, who will once again be played by Diego Luna. “It’s also about someone discovering there’s a purpose and something to fight for, and then you’ll see a whole community respond. It’s about making changes and hopefully it’ll be a story you’ll enjoy watching,” Luna said.
Kathleen Kennedy is set to film 12 more episodes of Ando
With the first 12 episodes kicking off in 11 days and Kennedy revealing that Lucasfilm is “very close to filming the second 12 episodes,” she said she “couldn’t be happier to be partnering with Tony Gilroy.” Kennedy continued, “Tony created The Bourne Identity series, which I’m sure many of you have seen, and he brought that tension into [the Andor] series in such an incredible way, and we also have an incredible ensemble cast. »
In addition to Luna, Geneviève O’Reilly returns to the star wars franchise to reprise her role as senator/spy Mon Mothma, as well as Stellan Skarsgård as Luthen Real, Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen, Fiona Shaw as Maarva, Denise Gough as Dedra Meero, and Kyle Soller as Syril, an Imperial Officer Who Tries to Stop the rebellion of Andor. Additionally, Forest Whitaker returns as Saw Gerrera, the leader of a militant insurgent group who star wars fans first met in clone wars.
