Just a week after I was hired to write the script avengers: kang dynasty, Jeff Loveness asked his Twitter followers to share their thoughts for the blockbuster. While the request was clearly in jest, the tweet received all kinds of reactions ranging from serious to funny. Award-winning comic writer/artist Chip Zadarsky has also worked on Marvel’s Wolverine and the Fantastic Four Reed Richards.
Avengers: Kang Dynasty Destin will be directed by Daniels Cretton, who previously worked with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, But it’s unclear which superheroes will make up the team roster for the story that helped close Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. All that is known for now is that Kevin Feige has a timeline that sees the film as May 2, 2025. Avengers: Secret Wars Will happen on November 7, 2025.
Jonathan Majors is cast as Kang the Conqueror and was introduced in bottle gourd, character will be reintroduced Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania, Which hits theaters on February 17, 2023, launching Marvel’s Phase Five. In the Disney+ series, the actor played the villain with the nickname “He Who Remains”. But at San Diego Comic-Con, the 33-year-old said there are “many Kongs.” And one series apart from Ant-Man.
Kang’s role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania Will probably lead to more appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, just as Thanos’ mini-appearance set up his story For Avengers: Infinity War And Endgame. The studio has not confirmed its exact long-term plans for the character. But, given the importance of the supervillain in comic book lore, perhaps something works too well.
Marvel will complete phase four Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in November. As such, the studio is slowly hiring creative talent for its next batch of films. Kevin Feige, the brains behind the entire operation, spoke about Jonathan Major and Kang in a recent interview comic book Immediately after Comic Con. “It’s amazing,” the Marvel boss said of his new star. “And no one has shoulders. I’ll cast the Multiverse Saga instead.”
Feige said Major is a very influential actor and can portray every avatar of Kang in the multiverse. He also revealed that Kang is a very different kind of villain than Thanos which would add something special to the whole saga. Since he didn’t elaborate on the Marvel villain’s origin story, here’s a little background for anyone unfamiliar with the source material.
In Marvel Comics, Kang the Conqueror / Nathaniel Richards is one of the most persistent and powerful enemies of the Avengers. Created by writers Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in 1964 Avengers #8. A 31st-century scholar and a descendant of Reed Richards’ father, Nathaniel becomes fascinated by history and discovers the time travel technique created by Victor von Doom. After a dispute with the Fantastic Four at some point, he travels to the 20th century where he meets Doctor Doom.
When the Avengers, Marvel’s Mightiest Heroes, manage to force him out of time, Nathaniel tries to return to the 31st century. But he is lost on a war-torn Earth that uses advanced weapons they no longer understand. After conquering the planet and expanding his dominance throughout the galaxy, Kang the Conqueror decides to take over the old version of Earth.
