The one factor Netflix consistently excels at is providing gripping, thrilling thrillers. It looks like the streaming service is set to launch a sequel that will keep you at the edge of your seat the next time you watch it. Mila Kunis stars in the humorously called The Luckiest Girl in the World film, which follows an individual who seems to have an idyllic life until a tragic incident that happened in her past returns to bring her back to. Based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by Jessica Knoll, who adapted her own novel for screenplay, the film features Kunis in the role of Ani FaNelli, an edgy and fashionable New Yorker with a dream job with a glamorous magazine, and a wealthy fiancé (Finn Wittrock) and a swanky fiance (Finn Wittrock). However, when a criminal documentary team approaches her to revisit the shocking event that occurred at the highly regarded Brentley School during her teens, Ani must confront the shocking truth about herself which she’s hidden all of her life.
Based on The Sandman director Mike Barker, Luckiest Girl Alive also includes stars such as Scoot McNairy Jennifer Beals, and Connie Britton, as well as Cruel Summer actress Chiara Aurelia who is the teenage model of Kunis’ Ani. Actually, the film’s flashbacks back in time to reveal the dark past of Aurelia’s character the Cruel Summerfans might be experiencing some real reminiscences from this trailer, and people who liked the Freeform popular series are sure to see this one.
