Brahmastra once again drew the audience to the theaters who had been infatuated with cinema for the last 4 months. The film made a gross box office collection of Rs 75 crores on the first day at the box office. This collection is of film screenings in all languages.
The film, which released on September 9, took a stellar opening at the box office and witnessed huge crowds from the very first show itself. From multiplexes to single screens, huge crowds were seen from big cities to small towns.
For the last four months, Bollywood was battling for success. After Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Bollywood did not get any big success. Many big films released during this period, Samrat Prithviraj, Shamshera, Lal Singh Chaddha, Raksha Bandhan, had to face failure.
Even before the release of Brahmastra, there was an appeal to boycott this movie, but the audience rejected it outright and gave the film a great start.
The film has been released in 2D, 3D and Imax 3D formats in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages. It has been released by SS Rajamouli in South India.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Shah Rukh Khan, Nagarjuna Akkineni in lead roles and the film has received tremendous support from the youth.
