Bollywood, which is battling with continuous flop films, is now eyeing the movie ‘Brahmastra’ to be released on 9 September. The budget of the film is around Rs 350 crore and it is one of the expensive Bollywood films. Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.
Bollywood’s last big success came in the form of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ which released in May. After that the films of all the big stars like Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor flopped badly. The magic of the South also did not work in the form of ‘Liger’. ‘Boycott Bollywood’ continued to trend on social media and it affected the collection of films.
The films of stars like Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar died before reaching the hundred crore mark. At this time, the people of the theaters do not understand which films they should play because the audience is not coming.
Brahmastra trailer got mixed response
The trailer and songs of Brahmastra have been released. There is a mixed reaction to the trailer and nothing special is visible in the trailer. Special effects are fine. That is to say, the trailer has not been able to leave the impression that the trailer of a big film leaves. The songs have become a hit or two.
Will Ranbir-Ayan’s magic work?
Ranbir Kapoor’s previous film ‘Shamshera’ failed miserably, but that film was also bad. Now Ranbir’s hopes are resting on ‘Brahmastra’ which is made by his special friend Ayaan. Ayan has made hits like ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ with Ranbir.
Advance booking is better
As far as advance booking is concerned, it is encouraging. In the films which have been booked in advance after Kovid, the name of Brahmastra comes after KGF 2. It has also left behind advance booking of films like RRR and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Advance booking on the first day can be around Rs 8 crore.
How will the opening of the film be
According to the big budget of the film, Brahmastra should take an opening of more than 40 crores on the first day, but it is not possible given the current circumstances. If the film does a collection of 25 crores on the first day, then it will be considered excellent, although its chances are also less.
Viewers are now waiting for the report and are not blindly trusting the banner and starcast. If kids like Brahmastra, the film’s chances will be bright. However, how will the recovery of such a big budget film, all eyes are on it and the box office result of Brahmastra means a lot for Bollywood.
